Village Husband (2025) is a drama that looks into tradition, modernity, and personal growth.
The film follows Chijioke (Mike Ezuruonye), a man who has spent most of his life working in the city, far from his village roots. After several years of living a fast-moving urban life, Chijioke is forced to return to his old village following the sudden death of his father. As Chijioke begins to take on the responsibilities of his father’s estate, he faces the harsh realities of the village, including corrupt officials, family secrets, and local rivalries. Despite his initial rejection, he gradually learns the importance of community, family, and the simplicity that the village offers.
