“The Artifact” (2025) is an action-adventure Nigerian film that premiered in cinemas nationwide on March 21. Directed and produced by Tolu Awobiyi (aka LordTanner), this film introduces a new blend of adventure, mystery, and cultural exploration in Nollywood.
The story follows the son of a deceased museum curator and his three friends on a thrilling quest to recover three precious stones hidden in a stolen artifact. Their journey takes them through several Nigerian cities—Lagos, Ilesa, Benin, Onitsha, and Keffi—offering a mix of stunning landscapes, rich culture, and dangerous encounters.
The film stars Adeoluwa Akintoba in the lead role, alongside Kunle Remi, Gabriel Afolayan, Bimbo Manuel, Sola Fosudo, Okey Uzoeshi, Wendy Lawal, and Sharon Rotimi.
Shot across seven Nigerian states—Lagos, Osun, Jos, Kaduna, Benin, Enugu, and Abuja—the film beautifully highlights Nigeria’s diverse cultural and natural wonders.
