“Revelations” is an upcoming South Korean thriller directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the visionary filmmaker behind Train to Busan and Hellbound. Set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on March 21, 2025, the film looks into themes of faith, obsession, and justice.
The story follows Min-chan (Ryu Jun-yeol), a pastor in a small provincial town, who becomes hell bent on seeking vengeance after receiving a divine revelation. Convinced that Yang-rae, a visitor to his church, is responsible for his son’s abduction, Min-chan struggles between his religious beliefs and an outpouring thirst for vengeance. Meanwhile, Detective Yeon-hee (Shin Hyun-been) investigates Yang-rae in connection with a missing person’s case while battling her own unresolved traumas.
The film has garnered significant attention, particularly due to the involvement of Academy Award-winning director Alfonso Cuarón, who serves as an executive producer. With its intense psychological drama and suspenseful storytelling, Revelations is expected to be a gripping addition to Yeon Sang-ho’s filmography.
