Veteran Nollywood actor John Amaefule has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke, leaving him incapacitated.
His colleague, Stanley Ontop, shared the news on Instagram, revealing that Amaefule is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owerri, Imo State. According to Stanley, the actor suffered the stroke earlier on 23rd February, affecting the left side of his brain.
He further disclosed that Amaefule’s family is seeking financial assistance from the public to cover his medical expenses and improve his chances of recovery. The required tests include a lipid panel, hemoglobin A1C, and electrolyte urea and creatinine assessments.
This unfortunate situation highlights the financial and health challenges many Nollywood veterans face in the later years of their careers. Wishing him a quick recovery.
