“Hitman 2” is a South Korean action-comedy film set to premiere on January 22, 2025. Directed by Choi Won-sub, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2020 film “Hitman: Agent Jun.”
The story follows Jun (Kwon Sang-woo), a former secret agent who has transitioned into a webtoon artist. His latest creation, “Assassination Agent Jun,” becomes a hit, but the second season faces harsh criticism, leading to Jun being labeled a “brainless writer.” The plot takes a dramatic turn when a real-life terrorist attack mirrors the storyline of his second season, resulting in Jun being wrongfully accused by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of orchestrating the crime.
