Dear Affy (2020), directed by Samuel Olatunji, is a Nigerian romantic comedy that delves into themes of love, unexpected challenges, and personal growth. The story follows Affy (played by Kehinde Bankole), an organized and passionate art enthusiast who is on the verge of marrying the man of her dreams. However, her plans are thrown into disarray when she finds herself unexpectedly pregnant before her wedding. This unplanned pregnancy forces her to reevaluate her life and embark on a journey to find the father of her unborn child, navigating a series of obstacles and challenges along the way.

 

The film features a stellar cast, with Toyin Abraham playing Teni, a blogger who plays a significant role in Affy’s journey. Enyinna Nwigwe portrays Mike, the man in Affy’s life, while Odunlade Adekola and Bimbo Akintola star as key characters. Bimbo Akintola plays Anna Duke, and Uzor Arukwe portrays Kelechi. The film also includes notable supporting performances from Kola Ajeyemi, Bimbo Ademoye as Toche, Hafiz Oyetoro as the Gateman, Chiwetalu Agu as the Old Man, Ali Nuhu as Khalid, and Timini Egbuson as Akin.
