“Dark Nuns” is an upcoming South Korean horror film directed by Hyeok-jae Kwon, scheduled for release on January 24, 2025.

The story begins with Hee-Joon, a young boy who started acting strange and weird after returning from a family vacation. His parents, unable to understand the source of his torment, bring him to a isolated convent where nuns knownfor their spiritual dedication lives.

Sister Junia (played by Song Hye-kyo), a devout and compassionate nun, takes a special interest in Hee-Joon’s case. She senses something beyond the physical—an evil force stalking the boy. However, the convent has strict rules: sorcery have been banned for decades due to a tragic and fatal incident in the past. Despite the prohibition, Sister Junia feels committed the act, driven by her faith and her past encounters with darkness.

Junia teams up with Sister Michaela (Jeon Yeo-been), a younger, curious nun who believes in Junia’s instinct. Together, they uncover terrifying truths about the boy’s condition. Hee-Joon is possessed by an ancient and evil-minded spirit that feeds on guilt and secrets. This revelation shakes the entire convent as long-buried sins and tragedies resurface among the nuns and priests.

As the spiritual battle intensifies, the convent becomes a battleground of faith, science, and the supernatural. Sister Junia discovers that the spirit is not only tormenting Hee-Joon but is also targeting those living in the convent, preying on their hidden fears and personal guilt.

The story builds to a troubling yet hopeful conclusion, where faith and redemption wins over darkness, but not without a heavy price.
