“Broken Hallelujah” (2025) is a Nigerian emotional drama that explores love, betrayal, faith, and healing.

In a world where love and faith are tested by life’s most painful betrayals, Broken Hallelujah tells the deeply moving story of Amaka (played by Bimbo Ademoye), a devoted gospel singer whose life is turned upside down when tragedy strikes at the peak of her success.

Amaka is the golden voice of her church, admired by many and deeply in love with her fiancé Tobi (Daniel Etim Effiong), a charismatic young pastor with big dreams. Together, they seem like the perfect match—rooted in faith, driven by purpose.

But beneath the surface lies a painful secret.

As wedding plans progress, Amaka uncovers shocking truths about Tobi’s past—a betrayal so deep it shakes her belief in love, and even in God. Her trust is shattered, and the once joyful hallelujahs she sang become broken cries of pain and confusion.

Eso Dike plays Jide, a childhood friend who reappears just when Amaka begins to question everything. Jide, now a reformed man with his own scars, becomes a source of unexpected comfort. But even he has demons he’s trying to outrun.

As Amaka navigates heartbreak, public shame, and a crisis of faith, she must choose: to hold on to the hurt or to find healing in the midst of the storm. With music as her therapy and grace as her guide, she begins a journey of rediscovery—learning that sometimes, it’s in the brokenness that true hallelujahs are born.

The movie is set to premiere on April 18, 2025, on Bimbo Ademoye TV on YouTube.
