“Aso Ebi Diaries” is an upcoming Nigerian film directed by Biodun Stephen and produced by Lady Laide Films.
The film follows a group of close friends and family preparing for a grand wedding, where the Aso Ebi fabric becomes more than just a fashion statement—it becomes a symbol of loyalty, status, and hidden tensions. The bride, played by Nancy Isime, wants a perfect wedding, but unresolved conflicts, old secrets, and clashing personalities threaten to turn the joyous occasion into chaos.
Among the bridesmaids, one (played by Kiekie) struggles with an unspoken rivalry, while another (Chizzy Alichi) hides a secret that could shake the foundation of their friendship. Meanwhile, the groom (Kunle Remi) faces pressure from both his family and his bride’s expectations, while his mother (Shaffy Bello) insists on maintaining cultural traditions at all costs.
As the wedding day draws closer, friendships are tested, love is questioned, and long-buried truths resurface. Will the Aso Ebi unite them in celebration, or will it expose the cracks in their relationships?
This film blends comedy, drama, and romance, offering an authentic portrayal of Nigerian weddings and the social dynamics that come with them.
