The story follows Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, four turtle brothers who have been raised in isolation by their father, Splinter, in the sewers of New York City. Yearning to be accepted as normal teenagers, they set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers through heroic acts. With the help of their new friend, aspiring journalist April O’Neil, the turtles find themselves up against a powerful crime syndicate led by the villainous mutant, Superfly. As they battle a variety of mutant foes, they discover the importance of family, self-acceptance, and heroism.
