Actress Lolo Criticizes Sex Workers For Dismissing The Importance Of Hard Work

Nollywood actress Lolo recently shared her views on the increasing openness of women embracing sex work, expressing concern that it devalues hard work and legitimate efforts to earn money. On the In My Opinion podcast, Lolo questioned the growing trend of women openly discussing their involvement in sex work and flaunting the wealth they gain from it. She believes this sends the wrong message to young people striving to succeed through honest means.

Lolo argued that by openly boasting about the financial rewards of sex work—such as purchasing cars and houses—there is a risk of promoting it as an alternative to hard work, making it seem more attractive than traditional careers. She emphasized that sex workers are undermining the value of legitimate, effort-driven professions and expressed disappointment that society seems to be losing its sense of shame regarding these matters.

Furthermore, Lolo noted that with the increasing normalization of sex work, it might eventually become a fully legitimized profession, comparing it to other accepted careers like banking or oil work. While she acknowledges that these women argue “my body, my choice,” she cautioned that this shift could blur the lines between moral values and societal norms.
