Jay-Z was spotted with his wife, Beyoncé, and their 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, at the world premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. Beyoncé, the award-winning singer, returns to voice Nala in Disney’s Mufasa, a prequel to the 2019 remake of The Lion King. This time, Blue Ivy joins the cast as the voice of young lioness Kiara.

Overflowing with pride, Beyoncé shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard, and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.” In the film, Kiara’s father, King Simba, will once again be voiced by actor and singer Donald Glover.

When Disney reimagined the 1994 classic in 2019, Beyoncé not only starred as Nala but also released The Lion King: The Gift, an album inspired by the film. Blue Ivy is no stranger to the spotlight; she featured on Beyoncé’s hit song “Brown Skin Girl” from the album, which won a Grammy for Best Music Video.

At just nine years old, Blue Ivy became the second youngest person to ever win a Grammy. Her accolades don’t stop there, she also earned the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award at the Soul Train Awards and the Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration Award at the NAACP Image Awards.

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy last graced the red carpet together at the 2019 premiere of The Lion King in Los Angeles, continuing their tradition of making history together.
