“Long Bright River,” a limited series adapted from Liz Moore’s novel, will debut on Peacock on March 13, 2025. Starring Amanda Seyfried as Mickey, a police officer in Philadelphia, the story explores a neighborhood grappling with the opioid crisis. As a series of murders unfolds, Mickey uncovers a connection between the case and her past.
The show also stars Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson, and John Doman. In addition to her starring role, Amanda Seyfried is an executive producer.
To prepare for her role, Seyfried immersed herself in research, connecting with local communities and law enforcement to authentically depict the impact of the opioid epidemic. She is committed to shedding light on the complex issues of addiction and poverty, aiming to foster empathy and raise awareness.
