“Setting Cameras And Live Streaming While Proposing Is Imbecilic” – Patrick Doyle

Lifestyle

Veteran Nigerian actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle recently made headlines with his strong opinion about public marriage proposals. He described them as an “act of imbecilic”, suggesting that such gestures are unnecessary and may put undue pressure on the person being proposed to.

Doyle’s statement stirred up debates on social media, with some agreeing that public proposals can feel intimidating, while others argue that they can be romantic and heartfelt if both partners are comfortable with them.

Taking to his Facebook page, Patrick Doyle wrote;

‘’Asking a woman to marry you is perhaps the most intimate experience any 2 persons can be engaged in outside of actual copulation.

This new unwholesome trend of having an entourage on hand with video cameras live streaming the act is, in my view imbecilic.

The epidemic of narcissism and approval addiction consuming many makes me wonder if some people ever had any home training at all.”

What do you think about his opinion? Do you agree that public proposals are overhyped, or do you find them romantic?
