Julius Onah is a Nigerian-American filmmaker known for directing films such as The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) and Luce (2019). Julius Onah was born on February 10, 1983, born in Makurdi, Nigeria, he later moved to the United States, where he built his career in Hollywood.
His film Luce, starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, and Tim Roth, received critical acclaim for its thought-provoking narrative on race, privilege, and identity. Before that, he directed The Cloverfield Paradox, a sci-fi thriller produced by J.J. Abrams and released directly on Netflix.
Onah was also chosen to direct Captain America: Brave New World, set to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
