Fathia Balogun, also known as Fathia Williams, is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur. She was born on February 5, 1969, in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Originally from Delta State, she is one of the most respected actresses in Nollywood, particularly in Yoruba-language films.
Fathia began her acting career in the 1990s and has starred in numerous Nollywood movies, including: Ibeji Mi (2025), Iya Alalake, Farayola, Aje Metta, Omolara, Eku Eda, Iranse Aje. She has also produced and directed several films, solidifying her influence in the industry.
Fathia has won multiple awards, including: Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) for Best Indigenous Actress, City People Entertainment Awards for Best Actress of the Year (Yoruba).
She was previously married to popular Yoruba actor Saheed Balogun, and they have children together. Despite their separation, she kept the surname “Balogun” professionally. Other Ventures Beyond acting, she is an entrepreneur and owns House of Faiteer, a beauty and skincare brand.
