- SUPERMAN – JULY 11,2025
It’s definitely an exciting time for DC fans with James Gunn at the helm!
Superman, at his core, is a beacon of hope, and bringing back a sense of lightness, humor, and adventure could really reinvigorate the character for a new generation. Gunn’s track record with Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad shows he knows how to balance heart with humor and action, so it’s easy to imagine a Superman film that feels both fresh and faithful to the character’s legacy.
2. SINNERS– APRIL 18,2025
The premise of Sinners sounds intriguing. Twin brothers, played by Michael B. Jordan.
The casting of Michael B. Jordan in both roles is a fascinating choice. Jordan has shown a astounding range as an actor, from his intensity in Creed to his more significant portrayal in Black Panther, and now it seems he’s going to have the opportunity to flex those muscles even further. Playing twin brothers gives him a chance to explore different sides of a character, possibly even drawing on psychological tension between the two roles.
3. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING – May 23,2025
The teaser likely has us just scratching the surface of what’s to come.
The anticipation for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is certainly building, especially given how Dead Reckoning raised the stakes in the franchise and left audiences hanging with its cliffhanger ending. Whether this will be the true “final” chapter of Ethan Hunt’s journey or not, the fact that it’s a direct sequel means we can expect an even more intense continuation of the action and plot threads established earlier.
4. 28 YEARS LATER – JUNE 20,2025
The new setting—an island quarantined from the zombie-infected mainland—gives the film a fresh dynamic. It sounds like the film will focus on the isolation and paranoia that come with living in a world where the safety of the island isn’t guaranteed, and the potential horrors lurking just beyond the quarantine zone could add even more tension. A confined location like this gives Boyle the opportunity to dial up the intensity, with characters forced to face not just the zombie threat, but perhaps the moral complexities of survival in a world turned upside down.
5. HOW TO TRAIN A DRAGON – JUNE 13
The live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon is definitely one of the more anticipated projects in the growing trend of remaking animated classics. With the original turning 15 years old in 2025, it’s amazing to think how timeless that film still feels. How to Train Your Dragon is widely regarded as one of the best animated films of its generation, not just for its stunning visuals and action but also for the emotional depth it brings to the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless. The themes of acceptance, understanding, and friendship with animals (or creatures) resonate deeply, and it’s a story that stays with you long after the credits roll.
