Cake is a Nigerian romantic comedy film directed by Prosper Edesiri and produced by Tongryang Pantu.
The movie follows Tomiwa Akinlolu (played by Tope Tedela), a talented baker whose life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Chalya Walshak (portrayed by Sophie Alakija), a spirited woman who challenges his perceptions of love and life.
Along the way, Tomiwa must navigate his budding romance with Chalya while managing familial pressures from his traditional mother (played by Patience Ozokwor) and dealing with the vibrant personalities of those around him, including Folu Storms as Mfon, Saskay, Emmanuel Jibunor, and Philip Asaya as Theo Maduka.
The film is a joint production by Natives Filmworks and Michelangelo Productions, with Dotun Olakunri and Steve Gukas serving as executive producers.
